Apothecary Products named Outstanding Community Partner by Scott, Carver, Dakota CAP Agency

Apothecary Products was the recipient of an Outstanding Community Partner award given to us by the Scott, Carver, Dakota CAP Agency at their Build a Better Future event. We couldn’t have received this award without the generosity of our wonderful team members. Thank you, APL Team!

APL is proud to partner with the Scott, Carver, Dakota CAP Agency whose mission is to assist and empower people to achieve social and economic well-being in partnership with our community. Their mission aligns with our organizational values. We feel honored to help support those in need in our community.

Some of the ways APL supports the CAP Agency include an annual spring cleaning drive, school supply drive and holiday gift drive. We are proud to have such generous team members to support this cause.

Apothecary Products Named Employer of Excellence

Apothecary Products Named Employer of Excellence

Apothecary Products, Burnsville was named as one of the area’s Employers of Excellence on May 25th. The Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board recognized six area organizations as Employers of Excellence for their employee retention, compensation and training practices. In these times of numerous workforce challenges, the Workforce Development Board wanted to recognize some of the best employers in Dakota and Scott counties.

Each participant completed a 40-question survey that allowed their employment practices to be analyzed by a consulting firm. Every organization participating in the survey received a 20-page report detailing the information on their company and the results of the survey. Employers were evaluated on numerous metrics.

Program sponsors included the Workforce Development Board,  Dakota County Community Development Agency, Scott County Community Development Agency, Inver Hills Community College and Dakota County Technical College.

Key factors for the organization included:

  • High promotion rates
  • 100% enrollment in voluntary retirement program
  • 100% enrollment in Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability program
  • 26 paid days off after one-year of employment.

Innovative practices included:

  • Inclusive environment – Committed to attracting, motivating, developing, and retaining people who represent differences of all kinds such as gender, age, race, religion, work style and diversity of thought.
  • Efforts to expand applicant pool included refreshing job titles, hiring bonuses, increasing base compensation, created ESG program, and celebrating company charitable giving activities thru social media posts.

April 2022 One APL Award

Apothecary Products (APL) presented Kent Halvorson, Supply Chain Analytics Manager, and Jake Townsend, Accounts Receivable Supervisor, with its most distinguished peer-to-peer award, the One APL Award, at its April 2022 All Team Meeting.

This coveted award honors outstanding team members who demonstrate a sense of team, selflessly putting APL first to deliver on behalf of the entire team. Team members nominate their peers for this award quarterly with a cross-functional committee selecting the recipient(s).

The nomination is a powerful affirmation of the value of a nominees work, particularly because nominations come from peers. This program is among several at APL celebrating our collaborative, high-performing work culture.

Apothecary Products Continuous Giving Scholarship Recipients Named

Apothecary Products is thrilled to share Anna Edsill and Samantha Jo Giesen have been named 2022 recipients of its $2500 scholarship program, a scholarship awarded based on students exhibiting exemplary community stewardship.

Anna, niece of Connie Jeurissen, Customer Relations Manager for Apothecary Products, is a second-year student at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse majoring in Exercise and Sports Science and minoring in Spanish. Anna’s commitment to supporting her community began in high school where she was involved in several volunteer projects including Peer Mentors and America Reads. Today she finds opportunities to give back through the Physical Therapy school club and Conversation Partners, a program connecting Spanish speaking students and Spanish language learners.

Samantha, daughter of Linda Anderson – Buyer for Apothecary Products, is a first-year students at Morningside University in Sioux City majoring in Counseling Psychology and English with a minor in Gender Studies. Samantha is actively involved throughout her campus, including serving as Secretary for the on-campus chapter of Active Minds, a nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults. Samantha also engages in her community action by writing for her schools literary magazine, the Kiosk.  She has authored multiples pieces on mental health.

We wish Anna, Samantha, and all the applicants success in their academic endeavors and thank all applicants for their role in building a better community.
